
You know, you would think that Iraq 2, China 1 should be a bigger story. You just do. It seems like there are few ways to combine “China” and “Iraq” in a headline without it landing somewhere near the front page. I guess a soccer game is one of them.
Iraq generally does pretty well with the footy. Sort of surprising that China isn’t more fired up about it, given that they’re pretty into the Olympics (which is maybe the answer itself; I guess the Olympics are more important politically).
